Our doctors at Temple Terrace Primary Care have a wealth of experience in helping patients to successfully manage high blood pressure via medications and lifestyle adjustments. Left untreated, this chronic but usually symptomless condition, also known as hypertension, can contribute to heart and kidney disease, stroke and heart failure.

While anyone can have high blood pressure, its incidence increases with age and it is typically only detected when you go to your doctor’s office for a regular physical exam. Those who do not go for annual checkups may not be aware that they have hypertension until damage has been done to their heart and kidneys – so that’s one more reason to make an appointment if you haven’t done so in the past year.  This is where we often identify patients with “pre-hypertension” and help them take steps to keep their condition from worsening in the future.

If you live in the Tampa Bay metro area and have not had your blood pressure checked in more than a year, contact our office at 813.971.3136 or fill out an appointment request online.
